I hava a 40 hp Merc 4 stroke. It was running just find and then it started bucking and then slowly shut down. Tried to restart and it only putters.. sounds like it is only running on one cyl. Checked Spark ( OK ). Checked Fuel ( OK ). Timimg marks do not line up when manually alligning. Belt looks good no teeth missing. Looks like timimg is off but not sure.
