older 75 hp merc o/b????

hi, i was just given a '79 bonito 16'6" w/ a 75 hp mercury o/b. i am not very familiar with outboards and controls. i am hoping somebody can tell me where the tilt/trim switch would be if equipped. i also need to know where the model/serial#'s are to idetifiy it. maybe you can help with that. it has an all metal housing in two pieces(top and a wraparound band)with brown and tan strips.any info would be a great help. thanks

Welcome to the forum!!:):)
The model and serial numbers are on the bracket that attaches the motor to the boat. If equipped with power tilt/trim the controls should be on the throttle lever and/or on the side of the outboard.
