hey all i just bought my first boat to fish with. its a tracker grizzly 1548 awl. does anyone know where the points on the bow and the stern are to tie dock line to on this type of boat.
i cant seem to find them? do i have to install them?
im not to big on the idea of having to install cleats and drilling any holes in the boat. i dont think the bow hook point and the handles on the stern are good spots to do so. or are they?

also i have a trolling motor and was wondering if anyone has some ideas of the best way to secure the motor in the boat when driving to my fishing spots.

it is an aluminum boat, easy to drill, use stainless steel bolts. you can seal with rubber washers, or 3m4200. easy job. best place for trolling motor if not mounted on the boat, is in the trunk, or back of truck.

hi thanks for the reply i did as you said and got some nylon cleats, stainless bolts, stainless nuts and some rubber washers.

my only question is now,

do i need to dip the screws and nuts in something or paint them with some sort of coating to prevent any kind of rusting?

also should i drill the holes a little smaller than the bolts i have so they can thread tighter or will that tear up the aluminum?

stainless does not rust, the reason for using it. you want the bolt to just slip thru. you can paint for cosmetic reasons but not necessary. good luck.
