1978 140HP Evinrude Trim Tab

Just recently replaced my impellar but i failed to mark my trim tab, it has 0-6 on trim tab, with a line scribed on the lower unit. It was setting at no. 2 but when I'm on the water its hard to turn starboard side but turns beautifully to the port side. If anyone has one of these motors can someone please tell me the best position to place the trim tab. Any help would be appreciated.

You will need to experiment. Turn the back of the fin of the trim tab in the direction that the boat is pulling, one increment at a time.
