Rude 6hp Model# and impeller ?

6802R-E10313. I bought an impeller kit last fall. It covers several years for
E/J 6hp motors.
When I removed the old pump the impeller is about 1/2 the size of the new
one. There is no way that it's going to fit. Is there another kit for this motor?

impeller kit shows BRP# 379764 no aftermarket parts.

water pump kit, BRP 763758 no aftermarket kits.

Same thing happened with my '76. Turned out a '79 impeller kit had been retrofit to it.

See if kit# 0389228 matches up.

Wish I had it with me but I'm workin'. It's a sierra kit and has a few different HP's listed 6,7.5 one other I think. I'll post it later. I can't be the only
one this has happened to. Thank you for replying.

There is a huge size difference. Can't wait to get home and check the
# on the bag. I didn't know you retro fit and be ok. The large impeller
seems to me would move alot more water thru.

The upgraded complete water pump is part number 763758 and uses Impeller number 387361. Sierra #18-3090.

The old style water pump with the cast metal housing uses Impeller number 434424. If you have the old pump, Sierra 18-3001 is the aftermarket part.

I've had this crop up a number of times on this board with other 6-es. I'm wondering if OMC superseded the kit to the '79 kit or something like that. Seems like a common enough occurrence.
