[Goosey]

Please bear with me I don't know my outboard lingo so well. 8 hp evinrude i'm guessing 80's model. I have taken out on the water a couple times. I took it out yesterday and today I noticed a couple drops of oil under the prop. Looking further I noticed it was coming from 2 small holes on the front of the drive shaft approximately 6 inches above the prop. It looks like there could possibly be a sealed joint there or are these some kind of drain holes? The fluid was water with oil(not mixed, yet). When I tilted the motor into the up position oil drained out quite quickly through these holes(not pouring but runs slowly down crankshaft and dripped off bottom fin. Thanx for the help, Eric.

You're probably ok. That goo is the exhaust mix of oil and water. All 2 strokes spew the goo.

If you can post your model # next time it will help with any future questions. (it's on the transom mount)
