ive looked at reinell 185, bayliner 185, fourwinns 190.....all around 22,000. with 4.3 engine. whats your opinions on these or maybe another brand. the best price so far has been the reinell @20,000 so far.
thanks
Bayliner seems to be the best bang for the buck, imo. I have a 2004 Bayliner 1850 with the 4.3 and it is a great little boat. No problems, just maintain it and get in it and drive. Pulls skiers, tubes and wakeboards great with 4-5 people in the boat.
Thanks
Do all of the boats come equipped with the same basic stuff?
You mention all have the 4.3...are they all the carbed 190 hp 4.3? The Four Winns is available with both the VolvoPenta outdrive and the Mercruiser. The Bayliner only has the Mercruiser. I am not sure if the Reinell offers the Mercruiser or not. Their website only shows the VP. You may have a preference depending on the service available in your area...or if you are doing the service yourself.
Do they all have similar canvas options included (bimini, mooring cover, etc.)?
Do they all have comparable trailers included?
Do any of them have an extended swim platform or other comfort and convenience options that the others don't?
Any of them are probably good boats.
I am biased towards the Four Winns...for no other reason than I currently own one, my dad has owned one and my sister has one also...I also had an old Saf-T-Mate which was the predecessor to Four Winns.
