Warning light/buzzer

I baught a 1999 Procraft Pro 205 with a 99 mercury Optimax on it. This boats a champ only when I put it in gear it will sometimes turn a beep warning with a indicator light which looks like a shifter or throttle. I have done all types of searching and found nothing really helping me maybe hoping someone could try and help me out with it. while the beep/and lights on i give it gas its nothing there no engine rev or movement(motor does continue to idle during this warning) if its in gear if i put in nutruel and shut it off start it back up its fine.

Welcome to the forum Bassfishinfrank!!:):)
The experts will need to know the HP of the Optimax and maybe a serial number for them to help you. Also some more specific information about the beep, ie: duration, constant tone or a beep of 2 seconds followed by a delay, etc.

Well the beeping i will have to hear again when boats in water i guess i didnt pay the consistancy of the tones that much attention :(. The 200hp optimax motors a 1999 the SN is 0g897273 Thanks and im glad to be here as well look forward to posting and chatting with more people of same intress. Good fishin and ill post about the beeping tone asap.

well i called my dad he was with me when i took it out and this happened. He said it was just a normal beeling sound no certain tone or anything to it it wasnt steady beep but a steady beeping sound. with the little shifter looking light lite up and flashing.thanks
