dented oil filter

I pressed up against it and dented the bottom. Will it be OK? It is a 1998 7.4L MPI engine with the remote filter.

Considering how cheap an oil filter is compared to the cost of a new Big Blok MPI installed, I would think it's crazy to even consider NOT changing it.
