I had a sea trial on a 20.5 Sea Fox dual console with a single 135 Optimax. Boat and motor are 2003's. Top and bottom ranges engine ran well. Topped out a 5200 rpms, 42 mph. Problem is around 3200 rpms, the engine makes a rattling sound. It sounds like metal on metal. The engine is smooth 200 rpms on each side. The dealer is having checked out. Anybody with ideas or similar?
