I have a rebuilt 1993 90 horse outboard mercury motor it is carburated last season when I was on it full throttle a loud consistant alarm would sound, I would either have to stop and let it idle or fearing there was sea weed on the motor stop let it idle a couple of secs then thru it in reverse rapidly to clean the prop and doing both would make the alarm go off. What can be the cause of this alarm and which alarm is it. your help in this matter is greatly appreciated!
