drive shaft seals 54 15hp Evinrude
The kit came with two thin seals rather than one thick one. I know I have read this on here before, but I think the enclosed metal ends on the seals are for one to go down and the other to go up?

They replace the old seal like this [] one pointing in the other out.

That would leave the spring exposed to water. I doubt that seal would last long like that.

makes sense to me. It seems that they will work the way they are we will see.
