Hey guys, I just bought a Chrysler 6 hp and just wanted to know the year. Cant find any serial # anywhere, here are some pics. Dutch

Look around the carburetor for a small metal plate stamped to the lower cowling.

no metal plate around the carb. I looked everywhere. Do you have a guess? Dutch

Early Chrysler 6s 66-67 possibly 68 used H10J plugs Tillotson MT91B carb.
69-77 5 &6hp use L4J plug,and Tillotson MD carb to 71.Tillotson CO to 77. 78-84 use L86 plug don't know what carb.Maybe this can get you some idea of year.

Hi,

Look in the pic with the cover off inside of the lower cowling. Starboard side near the corner. Is that your tag?

The cowl graphics looks similar to my 9.9 which is a 1972.

ID tag is on the lower cowl rear. You can see it in the photo. Judging by the water outlet , that is someplace in mid to late 70s and possibly as late as early 80s.

Your ID tag is visible in the photos on the rear starboard side of the engine pan. It looks like a 1976 model 62HG? Check the ID tag to be certain.

I have the same outboard, I am looking to sell it. Could anyone give me a ballpark price to ask for it. The pull cord needs to be replaced, other than that its in good condition. Any help would be....helpful. Thanks
