I have a 1985 Johnson 115. Took it out on a Sat. and it did great. The next Sat. we took it out again. This time it did not have the power as normal. Got home and checked. Very little compression on top right (looking at motor from the rear) cylinder. Does not make any odd sounds.

Don't have them yet, did not have compression gauge. Friend is going to bring one to the fire station next time he works. We will check it then.

Let us know what you find.

Check the compression and spark.

The compression should be around 100 psi (depending on gauge, temp, etc) and within 10 percent between cylinders.

With all plugs removed, leads grounded, the spark should jump 7/16 of an inch with a bright blue ZAP!!

If compression and spark check out, you will need to look into fuel delivery.
