Hello,

I am having difficulty ordering a skeg protector for my boat. The boat is in storage; because in Minnesota the winter is NEVER going to end, and I can't read anything, anywhere, that tells me which outdrive I have.

My boat is a 1988 SeaRay Seville 188 bowrider. It has the 4.3 mercuiser engine and the outdrive is white. It is my belief that only the 1988 models had their outdrive's painted white.

If any of you have the same boat would you please help me with this problem.

If the engine is 4.3L Merc then the drive should be Alpha 1, I had a 1987 17 Seville with 3.0L and Alpha 1, I currently have a 2004 185 with 4.3L and Alpha 1 Gen II. They did paint them white at one time and that year sounds about right.
