Bought some silver spray for SX leg, antifoul, what is the best way to prepare the surface. I have compressed air to clean down and also a small shot blaster, can this be used to remove surface paint?
What about the prop, can I shot blast and paint with antifoul too?
Has anyone any experience in spraying antifoul paint to a hull?

Re: Sterndrive antifouling

The mfg. should have a pretty detailed application on their product or their website - I'd check there.

Forget doing the prop, anything applied there will just be worn off in no time.

And no, you shouldn't apply antifouling paint with a sprayer. You'll need to thin it down too much to apply thus defeating the entire purpose of the material. It requires a certain mil thickness - hence all are applied by roller or brush. Again, read the mfg's directions on the can.
