how do i determeine which kit is correct for my mariner?

If your Mariner is a 4 cyl it's the same as a Mercury 18-3324 for the whole kit which you usually don't need

yes its a 4cylinder. so its the same as the mercury you mentioned but i am not going to use all the parts in that kit?

All I am saying is it's seldom a pump needs a complete kit ussually a impeller kit will fix them but if your not going to ck before buying parts you probably better buy the kit.
