Hi! I'll start by saying that I am new to this site and also boating. I do work on cars and small engines alot, but never boats. About four months ago I got a 1962 17' Aristocraft Funliner with a 1962 75hp Evinrude, it is an electric shift model. Basically the lower unit was shot, it had been sitting for a long time and had alot of water in it, i'd say around fifteen years. So now I am in the process of finding a new one. I just ran across one on ebay, it is one from a 1965 90hp evinrude, and was wondering if it would fit. I was also wondering were the fuel line that comes off of the fuel pump goes on the carburetor, I was thinking it was the one on the back but am not sure. Thank you in advance for any responses.

Yes a 90hp LU should work OK. And yes, the fuel line goes to the back/center of the carburetor.
