i just purchased an 89 Lowe 170 with an 84 merc 50 hp and was wondering if i should buy a prop like it has on it now for a back up or would something else be better. it has a 10 3/8 , 13 pitch now. i am new to this stuff and any advice is appreciated. thanks

My guess is that is too much prop but run it and get the max rpm and speed
to us.Only way to make the decision.Wouldn't hurt to give us your typical load and activity.
