cant find this carb anywhere...maybe just rebuild it? Both low and high speed needles are wobbly in the threads so its gotta be fixed. Just depends on threads on carb I guess.
There are fiber packing washers that are inserted in front of the brass jamming nuts to prevent any wobble or loosening of the needle valves (prevents turning due to vibration). Is it possible that those fiber washers are missing?

They arent missing but the black bushing was kinda shot on both high and low ...reordered all new stuff..even the needles. The low speed needle was even bent alittle but no damage to carb
Looked like a bushing,,maybe a washer...Its inside the small nut that the needle threads into. Checked on the breakdown and it lists it as Packing..2 in each needle, under the nut. Are those part of the carb rebuild kit that I got today? Got many small washers and such ...Never did this before but looks like I just take out old and put in new...after some cleaning I guess? After changing the packing how tight do I thread the nut on? The one the needle goes in? Is there an actual method to this madness?
Don't screw in the needle valve until it seats and then tighten the brass nut, it can cause the tip of the needle to jamb too hard into the seat. Back out the needle shaft well away from the seat, tighten the brass nut, then screw in the needle until it seats and back out to initial setting.
OK...so seat the needle first or not? Im alittle confused on your answer......Never mind..got it...start the valve but dont seat it..Then tighten nut..

Or do i just start replacing things as they come off?
Found my problem...Threads in the slow needle valve are messed up..Looks like former owner tried wrong needle and the proper one doesnt even come close to seating..I think Im screwed
Problem solved...former owner had both needles reversed...fast in slow and vice versa....was able to tap out threads and fix problem...Like they say...Buyer Beware.
