Johnson 25hp 2 stroke serial number: A7350237

Nothing else known about it sorry

Does anyone know the year of build and are/were these motors any good ?

Is there a "common fault" or something which should be "checked" when inspecting one.

Any help welcome

Thank you

The model number should be beside the serial number on the transom. If you really cant find it, post a picture of it.

If the transom id has been removed, look for the welch plug. It is about the size of a quarter, and will have the model number on it. Look to the top rear of the motor.

If that too has been removed, your motor was probably stolen at some time ;)

That serial number should be around 1988. The model number will be something like J25RLCCN, or similar. They are good motors.

Will check for the model number, 1988 sounds right I guess but will update when I get chance to get the model number.
