Recently obtained 72 Arrow Glass with 45 hp Johnson. Took on several test rides that went perfectly. After a couple times out started blowing fuses. Fixed open wire that seemed to be causing short in throttle/ignition housing. Took out gas tank to give me some room while working on it and upon reconnecting gas lines, it started for a about 45 seconds and then cut off. I have read the other posts talking about bulbs and realized I should have squeezed it while starting to sputter to see if it would help. Got a new primer bulb with hoses from wally world for johnson. I held it with arrow pointing up as mentioned in other post (and arrow is pointing toward engine). How hard should it harden up when priming? also tried taking off line from engine side and constantly pump it until gas would come out and no gas??? I even would let finger off end when sqeezing bulb and place finger back on fuel end when letting go of bulb? (to hopefully create vacuum) Still no luck in making gas come out the end. Any ideas? May post a link on youtube to show what I'm doing.

pick up and fuel line not restricted in any way?

I have no idea what Wally World is, as I reside in Canada, but have read a couple posts on here about their fuel bulbs and fuel lines giving trouble. I would reccomend an OEM bulb with the proper id line. Although, there is something else askew if you have the fuel line disconnected at the motor and while pumping the primer are not getting a steady flow. All fittings set and connected correctly?

Got it Fixed!! One of the fittings that I wasn't paying attention to was on backwards. Oh wallyworld =walmart. Thanks for the help. This site is incredibly informative and look forward to using it more.
