I have a mariner 115 4 cyl. with WME carbs. The linkage is set to factory, the fuel pump is good. I can't find anything wrong with the accelerator pump. All the carbs are synchronized properly and the mixture screws have been set to a good strong idle.
The engine falls on its face at part throttle, then recovers and takes off at WOT.
I am thinking the carbs need to be kitted and cleaned. Your thoughts?
Should I be checking the ignition timing?

Try removing the float bowl vent jets (back drag jet) see if that helps they only effect mid renge.
