Re: evin 235 v6

Do you have no spark, or just weak spark? Did you test each plug wire with a spark tester? It is highly unlikely that all 6 coils have gone bad a the same time. Your engine should have two power packs and are generally the first place to look for problems on the crossflows. Since you have no fire on any plugs, it would be unusual (though not unlikely) to have both packs go bad at once. (Swapping one with a known good pack will help your diagnosis.) The stator and timer base would be the next places to check. Both need an ohmmeter and a peak-reading voltmeter to adequately test for problems. I'd start with the stator-it may have no output. I'd recommend a factory service manual for doing this type of troubleshooting.

Does your engine have a kill/safety switch?

Have you disconnected the harness, red plug and tried to turn the engine with a remote starter switch to see if you get spark? This eliminates the wiring harness and associated circuitry.

Visually inspect the power head for any frayed or broken wires?
