i have a 24 ft pontoon boat that im redoing the deck on and i need some help taking the steering cable out. I have taking a picture to make it easier to give me some advice

Ayuh,.....

You have a Rotary Helm,....

It's easiest to pull the steering wheel,+ remove the Helm,+ Cable as a Unit.....

Disconnect the cable at the motor and remove it from the tube.
Loosen the big nut that you see there all the way and spin the steering wheel until the cable comes out. Remove the cable.
