Hi, Im new to the board, I just stumbled onto a very clean Chrysler 9.2 engine and have now spent the better part of 5 days searching for what year it would be, the serial plate says it was manufactured in Barrie Ontario, Model number is 9702 and the serial is 1704.... Could anyone help me figure out what year this is?

Cheers
Dan

Thanks a bunch! I realy cant belive this thing is so old, I honestly thought it was from the late 70's, early 80's. Are you sure about the oil ratio? ive searched around and im getting 50:1?

thanks again!

If your getting 50:1 for the 67 9.2 from a reliable source you can probably go for it. just keep in mind according to my 1970 aftermarket service manual says center main is a friction bearing.Perhaps the guys at the Chrysler crew can help on the mix.
