Re: outboard motor

Ahoy, yeabuddy.

Welcome to iboats. :)

What do you plan to do with the boat and where?

"Will it cost too much?" That depends on how much is too much to you.

With careful shopping you can find a light Jon boat or semi-vee for a few hundred bux and a 20-30 year old 3 to 10HP outboard for a few hundred more. Outboards of that period are very dependable and need only a little routine maintenance.

Give us more info and we can make some specific recommendations.

Re: outboard motor

Do you intend to do the work yourself? Are you good with your hands.
Are you aquainted with boats? What kind of motor is on it now?what kind are you replacing it with?Do you know for fact that replacement is a good motor? If it has sat for a long time ,a year or more, it will no doubt need some serious tinkering,Let us know whats up?
