I need to know the wiring order for the ignition switch. I have the black and yellow on the main M and then I have black on the other M, yellow/red on the S terminal red/purple on the B, purple on the A, and purple/white on the C. When I turn the key to the on position the starter engages like it does when you turn the key all the way to the momentary on position nor ally, which ones have I pput on backwards....thank you very much for any help you can give me.

thank you very much for replying to my question, but therein lies my true dilemma. I have a manual and that is the way it lists it too, but to the letter I have it wired exaclty the way you're posts and the book says to yet I still have the starter engaging in the "on" position as opposed to the "start" position. its about to wear me out!!!

When the switch is turned to start, the power goes to the first small post on the starter solenoid, so a short anywhere but the ignition switch is pretty near out of the question.

I would disconnect the wire from the "S" start position on the ignition switch, put a voltmeter between that and the black ground wire at "M", and take a reading with the ignition switch turned to Run. If you show voltage, replace the switch.

BTW, disconnect the battery whenever you do anything around that control; its a real money saving practice.

perfect, thank you very much for your help, Ill let you know what it turns out to be. I guess I naively took for granted that since the switch was brand new from the dealer that it MUST be "perfect", for the price, it shouldve included installation...lol, thanks again.
