12ft ALUMINUM boat with hole

look for ideas to repair / make a better looking patch.

no work with ALUMINUM here had to weld.

Looks mighty flimsy, Shipwreck.

There are aluminum brazing rods and flux that can be used with a propane/MAPP torch. That's what I would use to apply sheet aluminum patches.

If those holes are corrosion I don't think I would waste my time. Scrap aluminum is bringing pretty good prices, I hear.

JB it think the brown spot are leaves. remember i have those darn Sycamores. great shade, starting now, but heck on an uncovered boat.

It is very solid and they are leaves , i would not waste to much time on i got for 150.00 and guy dropped off.

This is going to be my workout boat----- oars and 5hp when i get tired off rowing!

just tried what said still no good, i can't upload.

well try to get my 1956 15 hp back together and running , it no get any fuel
so i be back later, try again with pictures ...8th time charm.

Just got 1956 running after rebuild, smoking the garage out.

Dose any know why it is says my picture are invalid when try to post them.
Also JB was taking about Dura fix ( as seen on Tv )for patching the aluminum boat.

Has anyone use this product? it looks cool and easy to use.

Down in the "Tech, Non-boating" forum,....
There's a Sticky at the top of the forum that explains the process......

Basically,... You post your files at a Free Hosting site,+ then just Link them to your posts.....

you can up load to a free service like photobucket.com then you choose the pictures you want( clik the little box at the bottom left of the picture) scrool to the bottom of the page, clik generate html, it will take you to the next page, scroll down to thumb nails clik on that and copy, then insert it into your post.

also if you are planing on posting pictures, you can use the Blue post reply or the go advanced, manage attachments, there you can upload , directly from your computer. besure you pictures have been resized to fit the format. 640x480 max.
