TM Wiring Question. Would appreciate the help.

I just purchased a used Motor Guide trolling motor to upgrade from my old MG. The newer MG is a Digital Tour 24, 82# and came with a plug and has a white and red connection for the wiring. My old MG was a Brute 756, 12/24 and was wired directly to the boat (no plug) with red, white and black wires. In order to direct wire my newer MG how do I need to wire it? Do I need to change any fuses / circuit breakers or other wiring since I'm going to an 82# thrust from a 56# ? Also, I will be using a TM transducer. Do I have any need to ground the TM? Will there be any interference issues on my Lowrance?
Also, the newer MG has a manufactured date of 12/18/2003........are there any concerns with this year?
