It should be engraved into the hull on the starboard side on the stern, just above the swim ladder.

Well,,,,I don't know anywhere else to look. I think Bayliner HIN numbers are always engraved into the hull, somewhere. Did you get a title with the boat? If so, it should be on the title.

On the transom ( back ) starboard side ( right ) just under the rubrail. It will be stamped in there. If not there then you either have a stolen boat, a wrecked boat or a one in a million chance that it left the factory like that.
No, no hidden locations that I'm aware of. As gregmsr sez' - check your title.

When I bought the boat I didn't know much about HIN and stuff, but now I have done my homework I wan't to know the boats HIN.
The hull is repainted, in best case the one who painted it didn't know the importance of the code...

I found this:
"A word of explanation. Federal regulations require that every boat built in the U.S. must be identified by a unique 12-digit number. The Coast Guard assigns each commercial boat builder a three-letter identification code, which is followed by the boat's serial number, the date the boat was certified to meet manufacturing regs and its model year. Numbers must be placed on the starboard side of the transom and in a hidden spot inside the boat. The HIN rules enable manufacturers to identify boats in the event of a defect recall. It is illegal to alter a boat's HIN once it has left the place where it was built."

I guess the next step is to turn whole interior upside down to find the hidden HIN, if that one isn't gone also.

Yes, there is one. Did a little digging and found out that it will be inside the hull at the exact same place where the exterior one is ( or should be ).
So a mirror image - so to speak. Your's should be an I/O so it might be a little difficult to see it - but it is indeed there. Hope that helped.

I couldn't find anything on the inside. But there wasn't any remainings from a plate.

I'll try to get someone to take a picture at a inside plate on a similar boat.

O.K. - it's not going to be a "plate'' but embossed as the exterior would be. The only thing that comes to mind is that the was some repair work done in that corner and all of the number's were wiped out and not replaced. Sorry I can't be of more help to you but that's all the info I could gather.

If the boat was built before 1972, there is no HIN. They didnt start using HIN's till September of 1972. So your wasting your time looking...lol
