Hi Gang.

I bought a 69 25 evee that has RJ12c plugs installed. They're in good
condition. Is it OK to keep'm in or should I change them out? I plan on on
doing a decarb with Seafoam soon. Will these plugs be OK just to do that and put what's supposed to be there in after? Oh ya the model# 25902.

As always,
Thanks

i would do the decarb before much use, the champion chart say to use, RJ8C or J8C new numbers. the old plug was J4C all are gapped at .030.

So take out the existing plugs before decarb?

No -- leave them in. They will get crudded up during the decarb. Decarb the motor, run the be jeepers out of it and then replace the plugs.

Whoever writes the Champion plug charts should be strung up. A J8C is too hot. A RJ8c is a resistor plug..no good. Use J4C, or J6C if you can't find J4C.

For a lot of high speed operation use J4C. For a lot of trolling and idling Use J6C.

Gap at .030"

J6C it is. I'll be doing mostly low speed, heavy tide pull. Once and a while
I'm gonna have to get on it to fight the tidal rush. What a beauty I score.
Fresh water motors are rare up here along the Mass. coast. I love this thing.
Even sanded the cowl to paint it up. Looking to get some proper decals.
Any ideas?

Tash, just for the record, I wasn't taking a whack at you. I was just expressing my opinion about the Champion chart writers. I think you agree, it is supposed to be J4C
