broken bolts

We just bought a bay boat, went to change out the thermostates and 3 of the 8 bolts broke off in the head. I was told to ck the thermostates to see what color they were, if black replace them.
Any ideas on how to remove them?

Welcome to Iboats!
Did they break off flush or can you get vise grips on them?
spray them with PB blaster and use heat..May have to drill and use easy outs..

there is a little left not much. I just found a whole thread on broken bolts, sounds like my little butane blaster is not hot enough, but does sound like I have some hope.

We jsut got the motor started and no water throught the tell tale hole, cleaned all that out and was starting to replace the impeller and the thermostates
