I currently have the 2 gauge Speedo/Fuel Management set up I believe was installed in 1994/1995 by the previous owner of my 25 Temptation. One gauge has a male end, the other a female and they are connected. I recently purchased a pair of 1999 250 EFI's that came w/ speedo/fuel mgt gauges. I noticed these gauges (presumably newer than the ones I have) do not have these brass pin connectors. I would also be curious as to why they are on some and not others and when and why were they eliminated.

That plug is actually an S-video cable. I'm going to just connect to it and then splice the wires to the GPS.
