Identification plate says its a crestliner 1875?
Its got an 898 mercruiser engine estimated date 78-82 could have been changed?
Very strange back end which i've not seen on other crestliners,
I was told by the seller it was a searay, could have had the plate changed,
I'm restoring it now, engine is nearly finished, hull is ready for painting and the trailer is 99% finished, i'd just like to know what it is?
Can anybody point me in the right direction,
There isn't much info on crestliners in the UK,
many thanks,
andy

hi ...welcome to iboats......

boat university as one moderator calls it.

the people here are great....the advice ....fantastic...
mechanics...glass men...safety instructors....lawyers ans even a few sanation eneineers!

your boat is not a searay...i dont know what it is....
but 1875 is the model.....an 18 footer...75 is not the year.
i did a search on crestliner...they have that same type windsheild and swim ladder off the back end....but i couldnt find an archive for the different year boats.......

it looks like the same style as a crestliner......
i doubt that someone would pull off a hin and replace it with another ....unless its stolen...:eek:

someone here will know exactly what it is.....there really good here..know their stuff....

your restoring it?? what exactally are you doing to it ??
would love to hear all the itchy detailes:D

cheers

Hi again,

The hin number is RALBJ110M82F, i think its 110 in the middle could be iio,
which points to "Reaction Boats"

and quote "AMF (SLK)&(CRL) COMBINED WITH (RAL) MOVED TO FLORIDA 3/12/81SOLD TO COBIA BOATS NEW MIC 'CRO' RAL FORMERY ASSIGNED TO AMF WHICH WENT OOB ON01/28/83."

CRL being Crestliner,
i also presume 1982,

Does anyone know any more?

Many Thanks,
Andy
