I'm considering purchasing either a Keywest 186 DC or Keywest 196 bayreef does anyone have any advice which would be the better boat?

What are your intensions for the boat. Pure fishing? Little tubing with the kids? Bay? River?

I'll be using this boat mostly to fish the bayou's in Southern Louisiana and making a few trips offshore when the weather permits.

The bay/reef. Of course you realize that neither are really intended for offshore. Be safe and good luck.

I think one consideration would be your style of fishing. For casting the bay boat has the advantage. For still fishing or trolling the DC would be Ok. Here is a link to another thread that may help -
