Hello, I'm new to the forum and had a question about my mercury engine.

I went to put 3 new spark plugs in and checked to see what brand the boat currently had in it and it was NGK BUHW. I looked this up to check and this engine is calling for NGK BUZHW or Champion QL-76v. This boat was ran all last year with the BUHW.... is it a problem that the BUHW spark plug was ran in the engine, or could this have caused damage? I plan on putting the correct plugs in for this year. Thanks in Advance

I don't know where you looked it up but my NGK book calls for BUHW-stk no. 2622
