Looking for opinions on new mako 264 cc. Have been considering buying one. Was very impressed after looking at it. Great fishability. Then got concerned with all the bad comments Makos have been getting on then internet. Safety comes first, so obviously I dont want to buy a boat that's not structurally sound. The other boat I am considering is the hydra-sports 2500 cc. I really like the Mako better in terms of features. I use my boat purely for fishing and the mako really looks like a great fishing boat. Can anyone comment on the structural integrity and safety of this boat? Posted this also on makoclassic.com but no responses yet.
Thanks.

Thanks for the opinion. Not sure what to believe. There are really a lot of people on other websites saying the new makos are not seaworthy. Hope I can somehow satisfy myself that its not true, because I really like the layout and fishing features a lot

Re: ? mako 264 cc

i have a mako 252 cc which is now the 264 cc since 2006. i have been pounding waves over and over and no problem ...its not kevlar but if you got the $$$ try hydra sports or grady whites , no gaurantee you hit the dock @ 10 knots and there wont be any hull damage!
