I just bought a Futura Mark2 HD for diving and snorkeling. Mostly for use in San Carlos. I'm looking at Mercurys or Yamahas. What size 4 stroke would you recommend? I know a 40 or 50 would be great but I'm on a budget.

I would recommend a 2-stroke Yamaha 50hp ...... 4-stroke yamaha - 30hp

I have a MK2C HD with a Yamaha 40hp 2 stroke. It top ends about 28mph...not sure why it doesn't get a bit more speed. It's a great motor though. I see iboats has a good price on the 50hp 2 stroke.

I get 63 mph out of my 50hp 2-stroke on my 4,1 meter inflatable ....
