hi, I have a '78 Chris Craft Catalina Express 29'. I have been restoring the interior and started to remove the old white fun-fur from the ceiling. I was wondering if there are any good tricks to removing the adhesive? Also I was wondering what other people have used as a new interior ceiling covering. thanks

I agree with TD -acetone. When I replaced my hull liner, I just used outdoor carpet, it was the cheapest option and looks great. Something that you may want to consider.

Have a great day,

Rob.

Take care,
Acetone is toxic flammable and a carcinogenic, its use requires protection for your eyes, skin and lungs with no naked flame or sparks.

Use only in a well ventilated area.

Acetone also dries VERY fast which can make it more difficult to use. An alternative would be rubbing alcohol, it doesn't dry as fast, but also doesn't work as well. But if you start with that and finish with acetone, you'll probably find it much easier than using either one by itself.

thanks, i'll try that, now what did you use to secure the indoor outdoor carpet? the inside of the cabin has a curved edge on the sides, so how hard would it be to get the carpet to fit snug?

POPEYE look for 3M 76 High tack spray adhesive easy to use quick set time.
if you use it experiment with a small piece first
