There are several things that cause run on after the switch is turned off. You have too much heat in the engine compartment, bad gas, idle speed too high, shutting down too quick after a long run. I would try turning the blower on for a few minutes, let the engine idle at the dock a couple minutes, this will do two things, remove heat from the engine compartment with the blower, idle time will let the hot spots in the engine cool down. If this does not work drop the idle speed 25 rpm maybe as much as 50 rpm, I would try 25 first.

I have the same problem; I was told its very common. There is supposed to be a "run-on" fix, but the primary cause is heat build-up in the engine compartment, especially when running off plane. My dealer recommended that I run the blower continuously when off plane, and use a mid-grade gasoline instead of regular. It helped somewhat, but the engine still gets the hiccups from time to time.
