I had a bad trailer accident with my boat and the motor was upside down for about a half an hour. Oil leaked out of the motor during the incident.

I haven't tried to start the motor yet, wanted to get some advice before doing so. I'd imagine that I just refill the oil and start it up. Can someone help with this?

Um I think it should be fine seeing how when you tilt the engine up it can be almost level. Dont quote me on this but I think your fine. Just give a call to your local marina and they should be able to answer you.

maybe remove all plugs, disconnect the lanyard, turn on water at muffs, step to the side of the motor and turn the key to blow excess oil build up in the cylinders, replace plug and lanyard and start motor, expect fair amount of smoke.
