I just purchased a boat from a private owner that is documented, what do I have to do to change the paper work over?

How can I renew or transfer documentation?
Call the National Vessel Documentation Center at 1-800-799-8362.

Complete the information on the back of your Certificate of Documentation ( form DHS, USCG, CG 1270 (rev.06-03) That is the blue title looking document. Contact the National Vessel Documentation Center 304-271-2400 and follow their instructions.
