the little lights light up saying the speaker is on and the source lights up saying it sees incoming signal, but nothing is coming out through the center speaker. I checked the speaker itself and works, I can hear relay clicking inside whenI turn it on or off

I got it hooked up through the fiberoptic cable, I know it worked when I had it hooked up through the digital input years ago, stopped working right after I tried changing to fiberoptic whichy failed, then back to digital

what can I check?

Are you sure the sound output is set for 5.1 and not just stereo?

5.1 won't work properly if you don't have a 6 pieces speakers system. LF, RF center, LR, RR, and Subwoofer. If you do have the 5.1 set up and one of the channel is missing then check the connection to the sub. Bad sub connection will cause random channel to goes blank. It took me a while to figured out my problem until I found the sub input cable that was chewed up by the frigging cat.
