Mariner(Yamaha)1981 loss of power no plane
This engine is on a 18" pontoon.Ran it a week ago it seemed fine. Went fishing this past weekend with 3 people on it, it seemes it didnt want to plane out, would slow down to about 9mph then sometimes would sound reved up but no power?. Two people would get toward the front, then it would plane out to about 14 mph, with 2 people it was doing 18mph.I would pump the bulb, it felt hard but sometimes it would plane out and sometimes it wouldnt when I done this.I'm thinking it could be the fuel pump? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
