Hello all, a friend of mine has just picked up his new 20ft bowrider.
The bilge pump and blower both come on every 2 minutes and then switch off.
Can anyone let us know what could be causing this???
There is absolutely no water in the bilge.
The dealer is a long way away so we want to try to fix it ourselves.
Thanks in advance for your help, we know everyone here is very helpful.

Re: Bilge Pump and Blower problem

the bilge is an automatic, that periodically comes on, the blower sounds like it is crosswired with the bilge pump.

Ok Thanks for that. I will try and check out the wiring.
If we turn the blower on do you think the bilge will work instead?
Is that how it would work? or would it be cross wired somewhere else?

Re: Bilge Pump and Blower problem

they should have separate switches, and work totally independent of each other. you always turn out blower on before starting, and when idling, or slow crusing. the bilge doesn't need to be on.
