Default Towabel Harness - self centering or not ?

I have a 3 man connelly triple x towable.

I don't have a tower

Which gives better performance ? I harness with a pully thus making it self centering ? Or a plain harness ?

My experience with tubes and such is that a fixed Y type harness is easier to swing the tube with. The roller type kinda deadens the whipping action, making it harder to swing the tube and rider. We like a lively ride so we use the fixed Y type.
My $.02,
Brian
