I have a '68 merc 100 hp. ive been having an issue with the motor dying after about 30 - 40 min runtime. I found a knowledgable person who said it is common for the distributer pickup to go bad and cause this problem. he also said it is a b!$%h to change this out (also expensive).
Does any body have or know where to look for a replacement distributer?
I have a '64 merc 100 i got for parts not knowing that in '68 they changed to electronic ignition.
Any body have one and want to trade for somethin off the older one?
