I just bought an '05 F50 outboard and installed it myself. The motor was run for a maximum 2 hours at the dealer and placed back in the box which I then bought. I connected the motor to a 703 yamaha control box, new battery and tried to turnover the engine but nothing happened. I am thinking there is something minor that I overlooked. The motor is getting power because the tilt and trim work both at the motor and the control box. When the key is turned, there is a slight hum (sounds like the fuel pump) but nothing else happens. Any ideas?

check for 12v at the starter relay
