carb cleaner in 2cycle ok?

I was going to put some carb cleaner in my gas tank,but another guy said it was bad for the motor since it was a 2 cycle.Any truth to that?

buy a can of seafoam and add to gas that wil clean carb.

Carb cleaner mixed in the gas is not going to do anything. Seafoam will help a little for the carbs however it is more for decarb and as a gas preserver. The only real way to clean the carbs it to take them apart and clean them.
